AP Fathima Medical College students (of 2015-16) Voice

100 Medical students Academic career in AP

The NTR University of Health Science not allowed 100 medical students of Fathima medical college students stating their admissions in their college 2015-16 against the norms of MCI (Medical Council of India).
All the 100 students got admission for the year 2015-16 batch in September, after participating in the 3rd or final Counselling. However, the college had not been granted permission for 1st and 2nd Counselling they managed to secure the interim order from the High court to get into the 3rd Counselling or final Counselling.
With the high Court interim order in hand, the Fathima college management went ahead with the counselling process and gave admissions to students.

Highlighted:
MCI had not given clearance to the Fathima College as per their norms, the admissions were cancelled by the council later. Things done by the college authorities in the admission process came to notice after High court’s dismissal of the case on 23rd April as per MCI plead.
AP government filed a case in Supreme Court on behalf of Fathima college student, to relocate the students who were not allowed to appear for their examinations after securing admission in 2015-16.

What’s AP government Proposal in Supreme Court?
Ready to lose 100 seats in the coming academic year and relocate these students in 11 medical colleges across the state. However, the MCI ruled out the State government’s proposal citing that the merit students will lose their opportunity by such a move.
Finally Supreme Court dismissed the case stating as merit students will lose their opportunity on October 27.
Each of the students paid college fee an amount of 35-70 Lakh to the management and they were asked to sign on blank note.

What’s next?
Now, the impacted all the students striving hard for education and not even bothering about money. Central government has to do something to these students not with money compensation.
In future, government may take many steps to not to see such incidents but here comes, what these 100 students has to do because of the college management mistake.
What’s next is still dilemma but still they hope for a light from dark……………………………………………………..
