The great Indian LION short biography

                                           Subhas Chandra Bose-Indian LION

Subhash Chandra Bose was a freedom fighter of India ,he was the founder of the Indian National Army. During pre-independence period Bose had visited London, japan to discuss the future of India, with the members of the Labor party. His sudden disappearance from Taiwan, led to surfacing of various theories, concerning the possibilities of his survival.

Born:
Subhas Chandra Bose was born on 23 January, 1897 in Cuttack. He was a very intelligent and sincere student but never had much interest in sports. His father  Janakinath Bose received Rai Bahadur title,he  was a Government pleader working there. Bose had obtained his early education at Cuttack. His mother Probhavati Devi who helped him to learn India heritage.

Influenced:
In his childhood, the influence of his mother Probhavati Devi and that of the Headmaster named Beni Madhav Das taught him to learn about the ancient heritage of his motherland and to love India more than anything else in his life.

Inspiration:
He was strongly influenced by Swami Vivekananda's teachings and was known for his patriotic zeal as a student. He also adored Vivekananda as his spiritual Guru.

Education:
Subhas Chandra bose passed his B.A. in Philosophy from the Presidency College in Calcutta. He left for England on 15 September, 1919 to appear at the Indian Civil Service Examination, as desired by his father. He passed the examination by coming out 'Fourth' among the successful candidates, but he did not want to serve the British Government. He urge for participating in the freedom movement was intense that in April 1921 so he resigned to the lucrative post offered to him. he returned to India and joined the Indian National Congress to fight for the independence of India.

Reason for why he left London during his B.A:
In 1916, Subhash reportedly beat and thrashed one of his British teachers E F Otten. The professor made a racist remark against the Indian students. As a result, Bose was expelled from the Presidency College and banished from Calcutta University. The incident brought Bose in the list of rebel-Indians.
In December 1921, Bose was arrested and imprisoned for organizing a boycott of the celebrations to mark the Prince of Wales's visit to India. He was sent to jail about eleven times in his life.

Politial Guru:
Initially,Bose worked under the leadership of Chittaranjan Das, an active member of Congress in Calcutta. It was Chittaranjan Das, who along with Motilal Nehru, left Congress and founded the Swaraj Party in 1922. Subhash would regard Chittaranjan Das as his political guru.

While Chittaranjan Das was busy in developing the national strategy, Subhash Chandra Bose played a major role in enlightening the students, youths and labors of Calcutta. He was eagerly waiting to see India, as an independent, federal and republic nation.
He became the President of the Congress Party, but later, resigned due to his differences of opinion with Gandhiji.

World War 2:
When the World War II broke in 1941,Bose was house arrested and he did not come out of his house for 40 days, nor did he see anyone during that period and on the 41st midnight, he escaped in the disguise of a Maulavi and reached Germany under an Italian diplomatic passport with an Italian name of Orlando Mazzota.

Indian National Army(I N A):
In Berlin, Bose formed the first Indian National Army (I.N.A.) with the 'prisoners of war' who were Indian soldiers serving the British Army. Now he came to be known as 'Netaji'. Subhas also founded an Indian Radio Station called Azad Hind Radio in Berlin, from where he had very often to broadcast for his countrymen suggesting about their political activities during the war.

Raising his Army:
From Berlin, Subhas went to Japan, where the I. N. A. was enlarged with the addition of more soldiers and civilians. The I.N.A. was now a large army. Netaji, as the Chief Commander of the I.N.A., declared war against the British. The I.N.A. fought tooth and nail in the Burma front, and hoisted Indian national flag in Imphal at Manipur.

Death:
The war took suddenly a strange turn, because the Japanese who were I.N.A.'s allied forces surrendered. So Netaji had to order retreat of his I.N.A.
Netaji's senior army officials advised him to go to Russia for help. He started for Russia in a Japanese aircraft which unfortunately met with an accident at the time of taking off, and the great Indian leader Netaji died on the spot or 18 August, 1945.
In May 1956, the Shah Nawaz Committee visited Japan to look into the situation of Bose's assumed death. Citing their lack of political relations with Taiwan, the Centre, did not seek for the assistance from their government. The reports of Justice Mukherjee Commission, tabled in Parliament on 17 May, 2006 said, "Bose did not die in the plane crash and the ashes at Renkoji temple are not his". However, the findings were rejected by the government of India.

He is an inspiring mind to present youth.
