Takshashila Introduction: More than 2700 years back a huge university existed in ancient India where over 10,500 students from all across the world came for higher studies .As early as 700 B.C.it named as Takshashila, located in the northwest region of Bharat (India). History: Taksha (the shortened moniker for TakshaShila) University was named after “Taksha’s Cut-Rock (or “Stele”) City” in ancient northern India, the site of the ancient world’s supposed first international university, present it located in Punjab,Pakistan.
